A Partnership with Los Angeles Union Station

LOS ANGELES UNION STATION NAMES R&CPMK AS PR AND ACTIVATION AGENCY OF RECORD

The iconic Los Angeles landmark, owned by the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) and managed by Morlin Asset Management, LP, is the premiere destination for arts, entertainment and culture in Downtown L.A.

LOS ANGELES – May 4, 2023 – The historic Los Angeles Union Station (LAUS), owned by Metro, has selected Rogers & Cowan PMK (R&CPMK) as their public relations and events agency of record. R&CPMK will oversee communications and publicity efforts for the cultural landmark and produce special events and other relevant campaigns throughout the year. Their record of representing brands within the local and global entertainment communities was factored into their selection.

Musical and artistic performances and other cultural events will be designed to allow for the local community, Metro and Metrolink customers, train and travel aficionados and history buffs alike to enjoy one of the most culturally significant buildings in Los Angeles.

Union Station’s historic restoration has been ongoing since 2013 and the revitalization has led to a renaissance for the space, including hosting the 93rd Oscars® in 2021. The famous Ticket   Concourse, Waiting Room and the North and South Patios have been seen in dozens of well-known movies, television scenes and music videos and continues to drive significant special event bookings, all managed by Hollywood Locations.

R&CPMK will also support the innovative, award-winning visual and performing arts programming presented year-round by Metro Art. These live performances and exhibitions have been core to the station’s revitalization strategy for 10 years, contributing to the landmark’s role as a cultural destination.

“We wanted an agency that has a love and respect for the space, as well as the necessary partnerships to continue to support our team in making Union Station the center of historical Los Angeles,” said Susan Vance, Director, Marketing, Brand Experience & Communications, Morlin Asset Management, LP. “We are looking forward to collaborating with R&CPMK as they bring a level of passion and expertise to our overall strategy and vision for the station.”

“We are inspired by the historical significance of Union Station and excited to become stewards of it through our public relations and events work,” said Shirley Hughes, President, Brand Marketing & Communications for R&CPMK. “We believe that our experience and relationships in Los Angeles will help shape the continuation of the LAUS story in meaningful ways for our community.”

Currently, R&CPMK is working with Metro and Los Angeles Union Station on a range of events and installations that will take place throughout the year.
